The form correction process takes place in December too. Once the correction window is closed, the admit card window starts. The precise IIFT NTA 2021 exam date was 24th January 2021. The registrations for the same begin from 6th Nov 2020. Moreover, the registrations ended on 30th Dec 2020. The application form correction process lasted for three days. That is, from the first of Jan, 2021 to the third of Jan, 2021. The admit card downloading took place on the 16th of January, 2021. Exam marking scheme
The IIFT Exam has a unique marking scheme. IIFT Full Form is the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. There are four sections. However, there are different numbers of questions in each section. Firstly, let’s talk about the VARC section. The VARC section has 35 questions. In this section, each question is of 3 marks. Secondly, there is the GK section. This section has 20 questions. However, each question carries 1.5 marks. The LRDI section has 30 questions. Here, each question carries 3 marks. Similarly, the QA section has 25 sections. Even here, each question carries 3 marks. The exam follows the negative marking scheme as well. All section except the GK section allows a negative mark for incorrect answer. However, for GK the negative marking is around 0.5 marks per incorrect answer. Hence, the marking scheme for GK is light.
The syllabus for the exam is almost similar to exams like CAT, XAT, MAT, etc. Hence, you do not have to separately study for this exam. Hence, you can attempt two-three questions at a time. IIFT Exam 2021 cutoff
For the general category, the cutoff is around 125 to 130 marks. For the General – EWS/ OBC-NCL category, the cutoff is around 100-105. Lastly, for SC/ ST/ PWD the cut-off is around 80 – 85. These are the overall cutoffs. However, now let us look at the section-wise cutoff for 2021. The total VARC marks are 105. However, the VARC cutoff was 33-36. Secondly, the LRDI section’s total marks are 90. However, the cutoff is around 10-20 marks. For the QA section, the cutoff was 10-12 marks out of a total of 75 marks. Furthermore, for the GK section, the cutoff was around 6 to 7 marks out of 30 marks.
Firstly, you need to crack the IIFT exam. Register for the exam before the IIFT registration’s last date. After the exam, the official website will declare the cutoffs. Hence, you should check if you are within the cutoffs. If you fit within the cutoffs, you will be called upon for the next round. The next round can be about essay writing or a GDPI. If you are selected in the first and second rounds, you are selected for the final admissions. However, the primary source of selection is your IIFT exam score.
