CMAT Exam Syllabus and Pattern

CMAT 2021 Question Paper Analysis
Firstly, let’s talk about shift one paper. The QTDI section was moderately difficult in 2021. Whereas, the LR section had questions ranging from easy to moderate difficulty level. Moreover, the LC section in the 2021 CMAT question paper was easy. But, the GK or general awareness section was difficult for the candidates. If you solve a CMAT sample paper, make sure you solve all types of questions. Moreover, the same pattern was followed by the shift two paper. There were 10 questions from arithmetic in QTDI. Moreover, there were 5 questions from the numbers topics. The modern math topic had 4 questions. Whereas, there were 3 questions in algebra and one question from geometry. The LR section had three verbal reasoning questions. Moreover, the non-verbal reasoning contributed to 22 questions. Further, the LC section had 4 passages. CMAT 2020 Question Paper Analysis
The CMAT 2021 question paper had all levels of questions. Firstly, we will talk about the QTDI section. This section has 25 questions. Moreover, this section was moderately difficult for the candidates. Hence, the majority of the questions were tricky in this section. Further, let’s talk about the LR section. The difficulty level of this section was easy. Therefore, one could easily score full marks in this section. Then, there is the LC & GK section. Both the sections were of moderate difficulty level. Hence, the overall paper was moderately difficult. Therefore, you need continuous practice for such papers.
The LC section had one passage and 6 RC questions. However, the other topics contributed around 5 to one question each in this section. Moreover, there were 10 questions from the arithmetic topics. Further, there were 5 questions from the modern math topic and 4 questions from the DI topic. Additionally, there were 2 questions from geometry and one question from numbers. No, there is no section-wise time in CMAT. However, the overall exam time duration is around three hours.
For every correct answer, you gain 4 marks. However, for every wrong answer, you lose one mark. Therefore, the exam follows negative marking.
