IIMs also conduct a group discussion or a GD round. Moreover, there is a personal interview round as well. Usually, this is the last round. These are the important assessment rounds.
However, the primary basis for admission is the CAT result. However, if you do not perform well in these rounds but you have a good CAT score, you can still get rejected. Hence, you need to give attention to both these assessment factors. The result for CAT in 2020 was announced on 2nd January 2021. Around 9 candidates scored full in the exam. Hence, they scored 99 percentile in the exam. The overall CAT cutoff for IIMs lies between 95 to 99 percentile. Hence, you need a score somewhere in that range.
